Relaxing gower herbal Walks and herbal tincture making sessions.
Woodland or Coastal Locations, Gower, South Wales.
Including delicious home made brownies and herbal teas.

£40.00 per person

Would you like to walk through the Gower woodlands and/or on the coastal path, gathering wild herbs, learning how to make your own medicine safely?  You can learn to identify local plants, harvest them wisely and turn them into healing medicine to take a little bit of Mother nature home with you.  You will go home with lots of knowledge about your chosen plant and a tincture made from it with your own hands, plus a booklet called “The Weeds you Walk On”.  The booklet covers how to harvests plants and recognise them safely in the wilderness.  We’ll have fun learning during the workshop at the end of the walk.

We would like to invite you to join a qualified herbalist and walk for two hours in beautiful "off the grid" places. And show you how to make herbal tinctures, learning about their healing properties, correct dosages and interesting folklore.

Please come and enjoy our homemade herbal teas and home made brownies too.

Our favourite Gower wilderness walks will lead your hen party to these gorgeous secret locations:

  1. The Black Hills Walk  - off the beaten track through woodland, over flower meadows, through burbling streams, past a beautiful lake covered with creamy lilies in the summertime and on up to finish at the Gower Wildflower Centre which has a fabulous cafe that has currently earned rave reviews on TripAdvisor.
  2. The Sumpters Surf Walk – Above the beautiful southerly rocky bay of Port Eynon we will look down on stunning seascapes, our paths dotted with wild herbs found only on the southern slopes Gower.  Delicious Fish and Chips in the pretty village by the beach.
  3. The Atlantic Clifftop Walk - facing clifftops of North Gower before descending into the idyllic valley of Cym Ivy near the mysterious Whitford Sands, a secret, sacred glade teeming with special herbs with glimpses of the Atlantic ocean through the pine forest.  We will call in at the local community cafe and shop for home-made goodies to keep you going!

All these walks will depend on the season, weather and what herbs are growing where and when.  All the walks are quite rugged average about 3 miles long so you will need stout walking boots, waterproofs, drinking water and suncream.

Please come and feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face .... (But do bring an umbrella too - just in case!)

Ideal for birthday parties, hen parties, "empty nesters" and all mothers and daughters who want to spend time together, having fun and doing something mellow.  No previous herbal crafting experience is necessary but a reasonable level of mobility is required to make it over the bumpy Gower tracks.
